Back on the road: our visit to the Moselle river this weekend is the first such road trip taken in over two months due to stay-at-home orders. Recently, those orders were lifted and many hotels and restaurants resumed operations under new rules.

Our destination was Zeltingen-Rachtig, a combined city along on the Moselle River and is in the heart of the popular Mosel wine region close to the Luxembourg border. For this trip we stayed at the Hotel & Restaurant Deutschherrenhof.

Further up the road in the in the bend of the river is a town called Ürzig. It is a picturesque little town with little rooftops lying between the surrounding green hillside vineyards and the winding river below.

We all enjoyed the freedom of being away for the weekend!
