Limburg an der Lahn

Limburg lies in the Rhenish mountains north of the Taunus, which creates a scenic drive from Frankfurt. This medieval town has plenty of restaurants and retail shops within the district. Since it is quite compact for all it has, one can walk around the entire old district within 10 minutes.

Undoubtedly, the most visited place within the town is Saint George’s Cathedral, which sits on the riverbank overlooking the Lahn. The cathedral also serves as a basilica and was built and consecrated in the year 1235.
